When it comes to professional instruments, you should choose the very best. The reality is, not every instrument is the same and it should be play tested before purchasing, similar to test driving a new car. Your personal instrument serves as your musical voice and it should stand out just as much as you do! It is also important to keep your instruments in proper working condition so they are always ready for performance, and regular maintenance is required. Refer to the endorsed providers below.
Are you looking to support an arts organization or attend an upcoming concert? Below are the organizations that I'm affiliated with, and I would love to see you at one of my next concerts!
South Carolina’s premiere professional, regional orchestra is proud to call the Peace Center home as its largest resident company. The performance of live music has the power to excite, impress, comfort and transform – something you will experience every time you attend a Greenville Symphony Orchestra concert. From the thrilling guest artists featured in our grand Masterworks Series to the charming and delightful hits of our more intimate Chamber Orchestra, as well as our spectacular Pops Series, this year’s concert season is sure to captivate your senses and reinvigorate your soul.
The Florida Wind Band is Tampa's premier wind band, bringing entertaining and inspiring performances of high-quality music to our vibrant and engaging community. The ensemble is comprised of professional musicians, college professors, and full-time performers who have a deep love for the eclectic repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary composers.
As one of the only professional arts organizations within a 30-mile radius, The Florida Philharmonic prospers each year with internationally-recognized guest artists, grammy award-winning composers, celebrated musicians from Florida and beyond, and programming which features daring and unique symphonic works. We offer audiences the wonder of live music and transformative learning experiences that develop an understanding and passion for the arts. We have a commitment to music education to ensure that classical music is an integral part of the community for generations to come, inspiring our youth to discover their talents and ambitions. We focus on the integrity of our organization and commit to and represent a strong fiscal responsibility.
When it comes to instrument repair in the Tampa Bay Area, there is no one that I would recommend more than Josh Hollenbeck with JH Woodwinds. He is a true expert in his field with fine attention to detail when it comes to woodwind repairs. He is a successful performer who truly understands the unique needs of woodwind alignment, sealing, and maintenance that keeps instruments in tip-top performing shape!
If you are going to buy a clarinet, I highly recommend Bill King at Ann Arbor Clarinet Connection. I purchased my personal instruments from Bill, and I have been extremely pleased. Many of my private students have also used Ann Arbor Clarinet Connection and there has been nothing but positive praise!
Bill handles the shipping, includes a warranty (other retailers will charge extra), and he provides a wealth of knowledge and expertise when hand selecting every instrument.
It really is a no brainer that Bill is the best. He is a professional clarinetist based in Ann Arbor who handpicks and plays every single instrument he sells from the Buffet Factory direct, so you know you are not getting a lemon. Tell him Tony sent you and you will be very well taken care of!
